What's new in version 1.7 of HBook?

Take customer credit cards details and charge later with Stripe

It is now 2 years since we launched HBook and we are delighted that our booking system has had such a great success. Many new features have been added over the years which makes HBook so flexible and suitable for an incredible variety of situations and businesses. Version 1.7 is rich in improvements and see the great addition of Stripe's charge customer feature.

Stripe: charge a customer credit card at a later stage directly from Hbook dashboard

Do you take only an online deposit at the time of the booking and wish you could later charge the credit card of the remaining balance? You need to confirm a booking before charging the card so ideally you would like to ask for customer credit card details at the time of the booking but charge only when you are sure you can accept their booking request? You have a no-show policy where you need to debit the customer credit card if they don't come?

Now, you can ask your customer to enter its credit card details at the time of the booking and charge the card later on directly from the Reservations dashboard. This option is available as well if you ask them to pay a deposit when they book. So you can charge the remaining balance according to your payment conditions. Wonderful, isn't it?

Many minor improvements that make a major change in HBook management

As the core of our work is to provide you with powerful tools that are straightforward to use, we have focused with this new version on improving many minor aspects. That's a major change that will simplify your task!

In the Reservations dashboard, when you block an accommodation, you can now add a comment. For reservations entered from the back-end, you can choose the status of these new reservations and you can as well set email templates to be sent automatically. We have also added maximum quantity to the extra-services, simplified PayPal payment gateway setup, extended the apparence settings to the search form buttons and select, ... and much more!
